What this teaches you

The simple rule

🚫 Never any sensitive data

Passwords, card numbers, customers' personal data, company secrets, confidential documents. Anonymise if you have to.

✅ OK: the generic stuff

General questions, drafts with no private info, public texts, made-up examples. When in doubt: strip the real names and numbers.

Check that you got it

2 quick questions

1. What has no business being in a chatbot?

Right: passwords, cards, customers' personal data, company secrets — never. And if one leaked, change it.

2. You want help with a real client contract. The right move?

Right: you keep the help without exposing your client. Anonymising is what unlocks most of these cases.

What to remember

  • What you paste can be kept: treat a chatbot like a semi-public place.
  • Never: passwords, cards, customers' personal data, confidential secrets.
  • Anonymise when you want help on a real case: replace the real names/numbers.
